Ingredients

Scale

Base Ingredients

  • 200g good-quality milk, dark, or white chocolate (choose according to preference)
  • 100g Mini Eggs (colorful candy-coated chocolate eggs)
  • Baking parchment or silicone mat (for lining the tray)

Optional Add-ins

  • Chopped nuts (pistachios, almonds, or hazelnuts) to taste
  • Dried fruit pieces to taste
  • Sea salt flakes for sprinkling
  • Caramel sauce for drizzling
  • Spices such as cinnamon or chili powder (a pinch)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Workspace: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat to prevent sticking and allow easy removal of the bark once set.
  2. Melt the Chocolate: Break the chocolate into small pieces and melt gently. Use a microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring between each, or melt over a double boiler to avoid burning or seizing.
  3. Pour and Spread Chocolate: Pour the melted chocolate onto the lined tray and spread it evenly with a spatula to about 1/4 inch thickness for the best bark texture.
  4. Add Mini Eggs: Immediately sprinkle the mini eggs evenly over the warm chocolate, pressing lightly so they adhere as the chocolate cools.
  5. Let It Set: Place the tray in the refrigerator for approximately 30 minutes, or until the chocolate is fully hardened and set.
  6. Break Into Pieces and Enjoy: Once set, lift the bark from the tray and break it into rustic chunks. Serve and enjoy the perfect contrast of smooth chocolate and crunchy candy eggs.

Notes

  • Use high-quality chocolate for richer flavor and smoother texture.
  • Melt chocolate carefully to avoid overheating and seizing.
  • Add mini eggs while the chocolate is still warm to ensure they stick properly.
  • Spread chocolate evenly for consistent thickness and easy breaking.
  • Store bark in an airtight container to prevent odor absorption and blooming.
