Instructions

  1. Prepare the Frozen Bananas: Peel ripe bananas, slice into coins, and freeze for at least 2 hours until firm but not rock solid. This ensures a creamy, scoopable texture.
  2. Blend the Base Ingredients: Place frozen banana slices, peanut butter, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt into a blender or food processor. Gradually add your choice of milk to help blend ingredients smoothly.
  3. Process Until Creamy: Blend and pulse the mixture until it reaches a creamy, soft-serve consistency, usually 1–3 minutes. Scrape down the sides as needed to mix evenly.
  4. Taste and Adjust: Taste the ice cream and add sweetener or more peanut butter if desired. Blend again briefly to incorporate any additions.
  5. Serve or Freeze: For soft-serve, serve immediately. For firmer texture, transfer to a container and freeze for 1–2 hours before serving.
